ST. JOHN IS MOUNTAINOUS MAKING BIKING GRUELING. TRY WATER BICYCLES INSTEAD! OR GO WITH A MOPED OR SCOOTER!
St. John is a small island, 7 miles long by 3 miles wide, but every last inch of it is packed with beautiful views. Visitors who rent bikes (or motor scooters) are able to roam across the tiny island and make the most of every sightseeing opportunity.
Hotels are the major supplier of rented bicycles and mopeds. Rates tend to fluctuate, but daily costs generally hover around $30(USD) for bikes and $45(USD) for mopeds. Because of the many hills, if you want to really explore the island, you'll probably need to rent a scooter – unless you are a mountain biker.
Change your mind about pedaling? Check out St. John In-Motion.
They provide scooters and motorcycles for rent hourly, daily and weekly, so that you can easily get around the island. They are conveniently located next to the ferry dock in Cruz Bay. Get out, get around and get in-motion and see the beautiful sights of the island of St. John.
Did you think a water bicycle sounds a little more enjoyable? While we don't have a specific rental location to recommend, you'll know one when when you see it. Just look for the people pedaling out on the sea!
